You know what to do.
MANILA, Philippines - Three oil companies on Friday announced they would raise pump prices early Saturday, radio DZBB reported Friday night.
Again!? When will this stop? This will continue to rise and rise until it gets too ridiculous to purchase oil any more. Eventually, no highway will have a car going along it, not even EDSA.
When the price of oil starts to get too ridiculous, people will resort to the MRT/LRT. Keep in mind, the jeeps, buses, and taxis all require oil as well. Because the price of oil will be too much to bear, they will no longer continue the service. The MRT/LRT will be overcrowded, as if it isn't already. People will no longer be able to arrive anywhere on time.
The solution is to either resort to non-motorized modes of transportation (bicycle), or to expand and create more space for the MRT/LRT. Seeing as Filipinos are too lazy to ride a bike to work/school, and the MRT/LRT will ALWAYS be crowded, business as a whole in the Philippines will plummet until it becomes nearly nonexistent.
Comment please. Thanks.

Free Text = No Text?
http://beta.ph.news.yahoo.com/gma/20080527/tph-free-text-messaging-may-force-compan-d6cd5cf.html
Please follow the link. Thanks.
A proposal to make text messaging free may force companies to eliminate the service since it will no longer be profitable to maintain it.
What the hell? This is the reason why we subscribe to cellphone companies in the first place. Calling people is a hassle and is too expensive for some people. Also, calls can only be made one at a time. Text messages depend on how fast your fingers are, a trait that is widespread among avid Filipino texters.
If you make it free of charge, companies will not be encouraged to invest in the business because it will not be profitable.
Then don't make it free. Plain and simple. Money may be a local issue right now, but this is NOT the answer. Cellphone companies will close down because they will no longer make money. This makes the money problems in the country even WORSE. Just don't do this. Please?
As long as the government has not filed a petition to cut text messaging or make them free, there is no issue.
Should the Philippine government file this petition, people will lose faith and rally. This may start another EDSA revolution. Think about it. A civil revolution for something as simple as text messaging? Just maintain the text messaging privileges, at any acceptable cost, and there will be no problems.
Please comment. Thanks.

I myself find it quite alright that the price of oil is constantly increasing. It is simply because of the small, unnoticed reason that oil is an important necessity in today's everyday life.
Think about it. Vehicles such as cars, buses, and jeeps need oil. Even some factories need oil. But is oil renewable? Do we have an infinite supply of it?
No.
The United States realizes this simple fact. They continue to hoard oil in preparation for the near future. The US will be the only major supplier of oil, which enables them to monopolize the economy and demand ridiculous prices for even a mere liter of oil.
Shouldn't our country be doing the same?
Please comment. Thanks.
